Financial Accountant

About the role

This position is responsible for managing finance, accounting, and tax activities for selected EMEA legal entities. The Financial Accountant works remotely, aligning with Manila business hours, and collaborates closely with the Financial Controller to improve processes and ensure accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journals, maintain GL accounts, and complete accruals, reconciliations and monthly allocations.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, submit them via Blackline, and manage inter‑company balances.
• Provide US‑required schedules, manage cash positions, and review monthly cash forecasts.
• Review daily bank statements, coordinate invoice processing with the AP team, and approve payroll calculations.
• Handle statutory returns, capital‑expenditure records, depreciation calculations, and tax filings with external consultants.

Required profile

• Qualification in accountancy or equivalent experience; professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or CPA) preferred.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local EMEA accounting standards, VAT, corporate income tax and statutory reporting.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, strong analytical skills and high integrity.
