Finance Manager - AI-Enabled Operations (Remote, Philippines)

About the role

Hunt St, which helps Australian companies hire remote talent in the Philippines, is recruiting a Finance Manager for a client in the built environment sector. The client is an established Australian company working on residential and commercial projects and wants someone who is tech-savvy and open to using AI to make finance work more efficient. The role is fully remote, paid $2,500-$3,500 AUD per month, and is set up as an independent contractor agreement with the client, not an outsourced agency.

The schedule aligns with Australian business hours (roughly 9 AM-5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but contractors have flexibility in how they manage their time.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance operations, keeping transactions and records accurate and up to date
• Manage accounts payable, including supplier invoices, payment processing and multi-currency supplier payments
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Own and support the month-end close, including reconciliations, adjustments and supporting schedules
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections and billing
• Review financial records and flag discrepancies, gaps or unusual transactions
• Work in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and support finance administration and reporting
• Use AI and LLM tools to speed up finance tasks and cut down manual work, and document processes and suggest improvements
• Over time, support additional functions such as purchasing and procurement

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or similar finance operations role
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and month-end close
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
• Attention to detail, accuracy and a process-improvement mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication, and comfort working independently remotely
• Genuine interest in AI and LLMs, with willingness to learn tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar

Required skills

• ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, NetSuite or Oracle (Business Central experience highly preferred)
• Supplier invoice management, payments, reconciliations and financial record keeping
