Finance & Accounting Officer – Mindanao

About the role

Plan International Philippines is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance and Accounting Officer to support financial operations for its Mindanao program portfolio, including sponsorship and grant‑funded projects. The role ensures accurate processing, reporting and accountability across partner activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process payment requests, fund requests, cash advances and liquidations, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Prepare fund requests and support timely cash disbursement for program and partner activities.
• Review SAP and procurement transactions to verify correct financial coding and data accuracy.
• Monitor partner budgets and expenditures; conduct monthly expense verifications and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports, tax documents and assist partners in building capacity on finance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or financial management.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation and internal controls.
• High integrity, strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork in project areas and be a Filipino national based in the Philippines.

• SAP (experience with SAP is an advantage)
