External Manufacturing Finance Controller

About the role

The External Manufacturing Finance Controller will act as a key business partner for the COO area, ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting for manufacturing operations. You will support the Controlling & Reporting group in delivering high‑integrity numbers and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate factory reports and high‑quality budgets based on well‑documented assumptions.
• Ensure forecast stability and explain deviations with underlying business drivers.
• Provide fact‑based, root‑cause performance reporting and ad‑hoc analyses for stakeholders.
• Execute controlling tasks in line with Vestas Financial Guidelines and ensure compliance.
• Update process documentation (SOP) and perform controls and compliance activities.
• Identify and implement improvements, participating in global optimization projects.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and business stakeholders to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

Required profile

• Graduate in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Finance or a related business field; certifications such as CPA, CMA or CIA are a plus.
• 5‑7 years of experience in general accounting, controlling, reporting or a similar role, preferably in a BPO/shared‑service environment.
• Proven experience working with multicultural stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP and SAP‑BI.
• Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel macros.
• Financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
