Expediting and Quality Control Engineer

About the role

The Expediting and Quality Control Engineer ensures that equipment supplied to projects meets quality, safety and delivery commitments. Working closely with category managers, buyers and project teams, the role drives inspection, testing and expediting activities across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) according to project and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate actions with category managers, SCPM and buyers to align on schedules and quality expectations.
• Control manufacturing and inspect equipment at supplier sites, obtain Inspection Release Certificates (IRC) and report non‑conformities.
• Alert stakeholders to delays or quality issues and develop expediting action plans.
• Maintain interfaces with buyers, SCPM and external clients, anticipating risks and opportunities related to quality and delivery dates.
• Report activity, KPIs and progress to the SCPM and line manager.
• Contribute to process improvement (REX) and ensure subcontractors follow internal rules and Group policies (H&S, Environment, Ethics).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field (license advantageous but not required).
• Minimum 3 years experience in water/wastewater treatment or Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• At least 3 years experience in expediting, quality control, logistics and material management for equipment.
• Meticulous, detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and deliver high‑quality reports.
• Team player with a strong sense of ownership and decision‑making capability.
