Estimator & Contracts Administrator

About the role

The Estimator & Contracts Administrator will support the estimation department for construction and demolition projects, reporting directly to the General Manager. The role focuses on generating accurate tender submissions, estimating labour and material costs, and ensuring commercial viability of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft scopes of work, obtain subcontractor quotes, and finalize head contracts and purchase orders.
• Gather data from project documentation and develop cost estimates to protect profit margins.
• Schedule and manage tender requests, ensuring timely and efficient resource allocation.
• Perform material and labour take‑offs to maintain estimation accuracy.
• Liaise with Operations to verify tender allowances and project scope.
• Expand and consolidate the supplier base to support business growth.
• Maintain effective tools and systems for successful tender production.
• Follow up on submitted tenders, track conversions, and report non‑compliance issues.
• Manage variations, certify progress claims, and ensure legal and contractual compliance.
• Prioritise multiple tenders across various clients while keeping stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• Experience in construction estimation and contracts administration.
• Ability to generate accurate cost estimates for labour and materials.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with existing and new customers and suppliers.
• Attention to detail in reviewing tenders for value‑management opportunities.
• Capability to work closely with Operations and senior management.
