Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of a wide range of electrical equipment in an industrial environment. This role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting the training of junior staff to uphold safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Check, repair, monitor, and maintain electrical functions of boilers, chillers, air compressors, wastewater treatment equipment, circuit breakers, motors, control boards, pumps, power outlets, air‑conditioning systems and office facilities using a preventive‑maintenance checklist.
• Inspect inventory of electrical supplies and prepare purchase requests when needed.
• Instruct and train junior electricians and production personnel on proper repair and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned work area.
• Participate in in‑house and off‑site seminars or training programs as required by management.
• Serve as Boiler or Chiller Operator during the incumbent’s absence, when assigned.
• Assist with in‑house fabrication projects and carpentry work that require technical expertise.
• Inspect and monitor pest‑control devices to ensure proper condition and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Ability to follow preventive‑maintenance procedures and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to train junior staff and collaborate with production teams.
• Flexibility to cover boiler or chiller operation when needed.
• Capability to contribute to fabrication and carpentry tasks.
