Endpoint Security Engineer – Cyber Defence

About the role

ANZ’s Cyber Defence squad protects the bank by ensuring secure access to the Internet and cloud services. This position focuses on endpoint security while also covering email protection and cloud‑app data loss prevention. You will work on engineering, configuration and ongoing management of security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global business units to manage endpoint, email and cloud‑application security platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with EDR/XDR solutions.
• Plan and execute upgrades, enhancements and security requests.
• Maintain email security controls, including phishing detection, safe links/attachments and secure gateways.
• Identify process improvements and recommend security enhancements aligned with regulations and best practices.
• Provide after‑hours on‑call support as part of shifting schedules.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in enterprise endpoint security platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux, Windows and macOS environments.
• Knowledge of email protection solutions and phishing mitigation.
• Ability to work in a global, collaborative environment and handle on‑call duties.
