EDI Developer

About the role

Encora is hiring an EDI Developer in Manila for a contract position. The developer builds electronic data interchange (EDI) maps for clients and works from home, with one day a month in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop or build inbound and outbound EDI maps based on client requirements, document types, structures and specifications.
• Understand mapping rules and incorporate them into the client's requirements.
• Communicate the status of map development and changes to the supervisor and other interface parties.
• Coordinate technical queries with EDI Specs Writers and analysts.
• Develop test data, perform unit testing and troubleshoot translation logs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field with more than 3 years of experience.
• Proven experience in EDI development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience stated in the important information.

Required skills

• EDI industry standards and data formats: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, RosettaNet, TRADACOMS, XML, IDocs and proprietary formats (fixed length, delimited).
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP, FTPS, AS2 and plain FTP.
