E-commerce Procurement Specialist – Optical

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Optical Procurement Specialist to manage the purchasing and fulfillment of frames and prescription lenses for an expanding U.S.-based e‑commerce eyewear company. The role is remote, full‑time, and sits at the heart of the order‑to‑production workflow, ensuring smooth progression from customer order to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming Shopify orders and verify frame and lens details.
• Place frame orders through vendor portals, entering accurate customer information.
• Ensure compliance with each vendor’s purchasing requirements.
• Coordinate with frame and lens vendors on availability, lead times, and order status.
• Monitor inventory, flag potential fulfillment issues, and follow up on back‑orders.
• Gradually take ownership of prescription lens ordering processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including RX customer service, to support scaling operations.
