Director of CNS Clinical Development

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced physician to lead the design and implementation of global clinical development plans for central nervous system (CNS) compounds. This senior position reports to senior leadership and works closely with cross‑functional teams to advance CNS drug programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise program strategies for assigned CNS compounds, including protocol design and identification of new indications.
• Supervise clinical operations and provide medical oversight for all trial phases, from protocol development to final reporting.
• Collaborate with clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, regulatory affairs and marketing to support product registration.
• Participate in the selection of new CNS candidates and IND filing activities.
• Analyse and interpret data, communicating findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate licensing and partnering opportunities, including pre‑clinical collaborations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) – Neurology specialty preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in CNS therapeutic areas.
• Experience with regulatory filings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and mechanisms of action.
• Proven ability to lead international study teams.
