Dialysis Technician – Hemodialysis Support

About the role

The Dialysis Technician provides essential support to the hemodialysis unit, ensuring that machines, equipment, and consumables are ready, safe, and properly maintained for patient treatments. This onsite position works closely with nursing staff and technical services to maintain high standards of patient care and equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and disinfect dialysis machines and workstations before each treatment.
• Calibrate reprocessing machines at the start of every shift and manage used dialyzers to prevent contamination.
• Reprocess, label, and record dialyzers for reuse, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on dialysis machines, consulting maintenance records and clinic personnel.
• Coordinate repairs with Technical Services and assist with equipment remedies.
• Manage consumable inventory, coordinate stock replenishment, and prepare progress reports on equipment utilization and maintenance.
• Assist nurses with pre‑ and post‑dialysis patient assessments, emergency procedures, and CPR when needed.
• Support the Unit Head in tracking equipment parts deliveries and updating maintenance logs.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the clinic and stockroom, and collaborate with Facilities on overall clinic upkeep.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, vocational diploma, or short‑course certificate.
• Open to candidates with or without prior experience in dialysis or medical equipment.
