Design Engineer, Structures

About the role

WSP is looking for a Design Engineer – Structures to join its multidisciplinary team. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers, translating project briefs into detailed structural designs while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret project briefs, raise technical queries and ensure design information is complete.
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, structural details and sketches.
• Produce and review CAD drawings, shop drawings and mark‑ups for the drafting team.
• Conduct quality design checks, incorporate comments from design reviewers and assist the Project Manager.
• Coordinate technical documents, attend meetings and support site inspections as required.
• Continuously improve design processes using standardized calculation systems.

Required profile

• Registered Civil Engineer with a relevant licensure.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing multi‑level residential, commercial or institutional projects.
• Experience with reinforced and post‑tensioned concrete as well as structural steelwork.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong English communication skills.
