Data Quality Engineer – SQL

About the role

NCS is seeking a Data Quality Engineer with strong SQL expertise to ensure the accuracy, completeness and reliability of data across its AI‑driven platforms. You will work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to design, implement and monitor data quality rules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data profiling, assessment and root‑cause analysis of data defects.
• Design, implement and document data quality rules, thresholds and acceptance criteria.
• Validate source‑to‑target data, transformation logic and business rules.
• Identify and remediate duplicate, missing, inconsistent, invalid or outdated records.
• Monitor data quality metrics, generate reports and manage exceptions.
• Support data cleansing, referential integrity checks and reconciliation of record counts and aggregates.

Required profile

• Strong experience with SQL and database querying.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation processes.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Ability to work with structured and semi‑structured data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet).
