Data Modeler

About the role

The Data Modeler will design conceptual, logical, and physical data schemas that support Globe's data architecture. You will create and maintain source‑to‑target mapping documentation, apply normalization and dimensional modeling, and ensure the data structures enable high‑performance reporting for massive telco datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Create logical and physical data models for the Gold Layer, focusing on subject‑oriented dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas) optimized for high‑volume queries.
• Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, metadata management, and data type definitions for the consumption layer.
• Design aggregation, refinement, and transformation logic to convert standardized Silver Layer data into ready‑to‑use Gold Layer tables.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Source‑to‑Target Mappings (STMs) documenting the transformation journey.
• Ensure the Gold Layer design scales efficiently to handle Globe Telecom's massive volume of CDRs, network logs, and customer interaction data.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with SQL and at least one scripting language such as Python or Scala for data transformation.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology) and modern cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Experience in the telecommunications industry or other high‑volume transactional sectors is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL
• Python or Scala
• Dimensional modeling (Kimball)
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Big Data technologies: Spark, Databricks, Snowflake
• Data modeling and metadata management
