Data Migration and Onboarding Specialist

About the role

Alt Legal is seeking a Data Migration and Onboarding Specialist to manage client data migration, transformation, and onboarding for its trademark management SaaS platform. The role involves heavy spreadsheet work, client meetings, and coordination with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support new and existing customers during IP data onboarding.
• Perform data mapping, manage complex datasets, and migrate data into the preferred format.
• Coordinate inputs from customers and internal stakeholders and maintain accurate records.
• Resolve issues directly or involve internal resources to ensure timely customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with system changes and collaborate with customer success, product, and other teams to improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• 4+ years experience in data/implementation roles supporting SaaS or web‑based solutions.
• 2+ years remote work experience.
• High attention to detail and strong communication and project‑management skills.
• Ability to recognize knowledge gaps, seek instruction, and quickly learn new concepts.
• Empathy for customers and a good sense of humor.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with customer‑success platforms such as Vitally or ChurnZero.
