Data Governance & Information Security Internship

About the role

We are looking for a motivated intern to support our Data Governance and Information Security initiatives. You will work closely with the data privacy and security teams to help classify data, ensure compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act, and assist in risk assessment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, classify, and map sensitive data according to regional standards.
• Review and align data handling practices with the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
• Monitor data inventories and compliance trackers for day‑to‑day privacy operations.
• Assist in improving data privacy templates, intake forms, and operational policies.
• Support internal risk assessments, document vulnerabilities, and track remediation efforts.
• Help update and draft information security policies and SOPs based on industry frameworks.
• Contribute to security awareness content, newsletters, and phishing simulations.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Analytics, MIS or a related field.
• Basic understanding of information security principles (CIA Triad), data management and privacy concepts.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data professionally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setup.
