Data Engineer (Python) – Real‑time Analytics

About the role

The Corporate Actuarial Data & Technology team at Arch is looking for a Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills. You will build and maintain data pipelines that enable real‑time analytics for insurance pricing and profitability across Property & Casualty products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with strategic partners to design and implement best‑in‑class data solutions.
• Develop, automate, and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Document data sources, technical designs, and pipeline architecture.
• Evaluate data quality, completeness, and ensure robust data modeling.
• Explore new data sources and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual workflows.

Required profile

• 1‑4+ years of experience in data or software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, MIS or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
