Data Engineer

About the role

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is seeking a full‑time Data Engineer to join its team in Metro Manila. You will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that enable accurate reporting, analytics, and data‑driven decision‑making across the agency’s workforce development programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and monitor ETL processes that integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Design and manage data warehouses and related infrastructure to support operational and strategic reporting.
• Collaborate with analysts, IT staff, and program managers to ensure data quality, reliability, and security.
• Diagnose data‑related issues, implement improvements, and document data models, workflows, and standards.
• Support the creation of dashboards, metrics, and other data products for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Statistics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and information security standards, preferably in a regulated or public‑sector environment.
