About the role
OneOcean is seeking a Data Engineer to join its growing data team. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining data ingestion, transformation and modelling pipelines that support internal decision‑making and customer analytics.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture from multiple data sources.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non‑functional business requirements.
- Identify, design and implement process improvements such as automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery and redesigning infrastructure for scalability.
- Build infrastructure for efficient extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of sources.
- Ensure robust data validation and quality throughout the pipeline.
Required profile
- Proven experience designing and operating data pipelines in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external customers.
