Cyber Security Officer – Full‑Time IT Role

About the role

The Cyber Security Officer will develop, implement and manage the organisation’s cybersecurity framework, protecting information assets from evolving threats. This full‑time position works closely with technical and business teams to ensure security is embedded in all projects and daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Align information security policies, procedures and tools with risk tolerance and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a security posture that adapts to emerging cyber threats.
• Oversee day‑to‑day security monitoring, detection and response activities.
• Lead the incident response team through triage, analysis, containment, recovery and post‑mortem.
• Design and implement security solutions that meet stakeholder requirements.
• Integrate security controls into internal and customer‑facing projects.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness through training, simulations and information sharing.
• Collaborate with the Data Protection Officer and Risk Management team to enhance data privacy compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
• Strong ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent critical‑thinking, logical reasoning and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of ethics, governance and regulatory compliance standards.
