Country Head – Philippines

About the role

The Country Head for the Philippines will serve as the chief representative of ANZ in the country, leading the end‑to‑end franchise across all businesses, products and enablement functions. This senior executive role is responsible for delivering the agreed strategy, operating and financial plan while fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the country franchise aligns with group strategy, stays within risk appetite and meets performance commitments.
• Collaborate closely with divisional business, product and enablement leaders to set and execute local strategy.
• Drive a purpose‑ and values‑led culture, promoting employee engagement and capability.
• Maintain and develop relationships with regulators, government authorities, industry bodies, leading companies and community groups.
• Oversee on‑shore governance, risk management and compliance with group and local policies.
• Advocate for the Philippine market within ANZ, working with global partners to define and grow the bank’s position.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in banking or financial services, preferably with a country‑wide remit.
• Proven track record of delivering strategic, financial and operational results.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with regulators, government and key industry players.
• Ability to lead large, diverse teams and foster a high‑engagement culture.
• Deep understanding of the Philippine market and its unique characteristics.
