Country Controller – Finance & Controlling

About the role

The Country Controller will lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting and business analysis for BASF's APA business in the Philippines. Acting as a trusted financial advisor, the role supports the Local Business Manager and the country management team on all financially relevant matters, including compliance and strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly actual reporting and full‑year forecasts for P&L, balance‑sheet items and sales.
• Conduct integrated forecasting processes covering supply, demand and financial perspectives.
• Develop, track and report financial scenarios, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Provide business commentary and insights for corporate management.
• Collect and review volume and price data, support pricing and rebate strategies, and monitor rebate accruals.
• Analyse product‑level profitability and recommend corrective actions such as price adjustments.
• Serve as the primary contact for compliance queries and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Participate as a member of the country and APA business‑area management team.
