Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will oversee budget monitoring, cost control, and payment management for construction projects within Asian Terminals Incorporated. This role ensures financial accuracy, validates variations and claims, and coordinates closely with procurement, contracts, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor spendings against Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs), handling up to 20 AFEs simultaneously.
• Review and approve Interim Payment Applications, manage the certification process, and liaise with treasury.
• Validate contractor change orders and claims to prevent overbilling.
• Reconcile actual costs with forecasts, updating spending projections to completion and managing retention releases.
• Align cost and financial data with Procurement, Contracts, and Project Teams to ensure consistency across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in construction project finance.
• Strong communication skills.
