Control Board Operator

About the role

The Control Board Operator ensures safe and efficient Materials Handling processes within a coal‑fired power plant. The role focuses on equipment inspections, and the safe start‑up and shutdown of plant operations under both normal and emergency conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement best‑practice procedures for safe and smooth operation of Materials Handling equipment.
• Conduct equipment inspections and oversee safe operation during start‑up and shutdown phases.
• Manage medium‑voltage (MV) switching and switchgear operations.
• Follow and interpret equipment manuals and operating procedures.
• Communicate operational status via email, radio and telephone.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an industrial discipline; professional license is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a coal‑fired power plant or completion of a cadetship program.
• Proficiency with a Computer Management Maintenance System (CMMS).
• Knowledge of safe start‑up/shutdown, MV switching and switchgear.
• Ability to read technical manuals and understand power plant operations.
• Positive attitude with strong advocacy for safety practices.
• Willingness to be assigned to Masinloc, Zambales.
