Contracts Manager

About the role

Instructure is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of commercial agreements. You will ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and support business objectives by drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize sales, vendor, partnership, and NDA agreements in collaboration with legal counsel and stakeholders.
• Manage contracts from initiation through execution and renewal using CLM tools and best practices.
• Ensure contracts meet company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
• Identify contractual risks and propose language to protect company interests.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal teams on contract inquiries and provide guidance on terms.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standardized processes.
• Monitor contract performance, address discrepancies, and maintain organized records.
• Assist in training internal teams on contract processes and key terms.
• Participate in special projects related to legal operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field (J.D. a plus).
• 3‑5 years of experience in contracts management or legal operations, preferably in technology or software.
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and legal principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software.
• Experience using Salesforce.
