Construction Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Technician to join First Sumiden Circuits, Inc. in a hands‑on, site‑focused position. The role involves preparing job sites, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting skilled tradespeople throughout the construction process.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Conduct site surveys, measure elevations, and verify material specifications using GPS and total stations.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide project execution.
• Operate light and heavy equipment such as excavators and perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist carpenters, electricians, and masons while documenting progress through reports.
• Perform quality‑control tests, including air and slump tests on concrete, to meet project standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering is an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of construction experience.
• COSH and BOSH certificates are a plus.
• Strong focus on safety and health.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and technical specification interpretation.
• Proficiency with CAD/AutoCAD for documentation.
• Operation of GPS/total‑station equipment.
• Excavator and other light/heavy equipment operation.
• Concrete testing (air/slump) and preventive equipment maintenance.
