Concrete Finisher – Road & Bridge Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Concrete Finisher to work on road and bridge construction projects. The role involves preparing surfaces, setting and stripping formwork, placing and finishing wet concrete, and maintaining a safe, clean job site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and install formwork for highways and heavy‑construction projects.
• Place, shovel, and finish wet concrete using tools such as trowels, floats, bull floats, brooms, rakes and screeds.
• Strip and relocate formwork, set braces, and erect scaffolding as required.
• Load, unload and haul materials, including operating trucks and hoists.
• Maintain site cleanliness and secure tools daily to prevent hazards.
• Follow industry safety protocols and incident‑reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to pass controlled substance tests.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry up to 75 lb and work in outdoor conditions.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and construction safety practices.

Required skills

• Operation of hand and power tools for concrete finishing.
• Formwork installation and removal.
• Material handling and storage.
