Computational Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Computational Designer to join Buro Eight’s growing team. The role focuses on developing parametric tools and digital workflows to create advanced façade solutions for international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop parametric tools and workflows for complex façade geometries.
• Automate repetitive design processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement optimisation and analysis solutions to enhance design performance.
• Collaborate with architects, designers and engineers to deliver innovative outcomes.
• Support the adoption of computational design capabilities across the team.
• Integrate digital workflows between design platforms to improve collaboration and data management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in computational design.
• Portfolio showcasing parametric and computational design projects.
• Experience in façade design is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper.
• Programming experience in Python and/or C#.
• Knowledge of Revit and Dynamo.
• Strong understanding of geometry, mathematics and digital workflows.
