Compliance Officer (Fintech Payments)

About the role

The Compliance Officer will ensure our global fintech payments operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies across jurisdictions. You will manage regulatory obligations, audit readiness and work closely with internal teams to embed compliance throughout the business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory compliance calendars and monitor changes in relevant regulations.
• Liaise with regulators such as BSP and MAS, preparing filings, responses and inquiries.
• Oversee compliance with global frameworks including AML/KYC, Anti‑Fraud, GDPR, PSD2, sanctions screening and local financial laws.
• Draft, review and maintain internal policies (AML/CFT, data privacy, acceptable use, complaints handling) and ensure they are operationalised.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and coordinate third‑party audits, managing scoping, evidence collection and remediation.
• Prepare board‑level compliance updates, quarterly dashboards and incident logs.
• Design and deliver mandatory and role‑based compliance training programmes.
• Act as a consultative partner to business units on product decisions, market expansions and compliance committees.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of regulatory or corporate compliance experience in fintech, payments or banking.
• Strong knowledge of AMLA, BSP circulars and local data‑privacy regulations.
• Deep understanding of global payments regulations such as AML/KYC, Anti‑Fraud, GDPR, PSD2, MAL and OPS.
• Proven experience managing regulator relationships, audits and inspections.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable policies.
