About the role
The Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of the hotel’s communications, public relations and brand visibility strategy. Working closely with senior hotel leadership and multiple departments, the role ensures consistent brand messaging and maximises positive exposure for the property and its programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual communications and PR strategy aligned with business objectives and brand standards.
- Manage relationships with media, journalists, editors, bloggers, influencers, KOLs and content creators to generate positive hotel exposure.
- Maintain strong media mileage and PR coverage for the hotel, its facilities, restaurants, events, promotions and key achievements.
- Draft and pitch press releases, media stories, features, interviews and other PR materials.
- Identify opportunities for editorial features, TV/radio appearances, digital publications and social media exposure.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database of media contacts, KOLs, influencers and content creators.
- Lead and coordinate media visits, influencer stays, press events, familiarisation tours, media tastings, launches and hotel activations.
- Develop strategic KOL and influencer partnerships that generate measurable awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with F&B and operations teams to promote restaurant concepts, dining campaigns, seasonal promotions and special experiences.
- Manage communications for hotel‑wide programmes and campaigns, including launches, celebrations, community initiatives, sustainability programmes and employee activities.
- Create compelling storytelling and content that highlights the hotel’s unique experiences, people, services and brand positioning.
- Oversee the hotel’s online presence, ensuring consistent communications across digital platforms.
- Monitor online mentions, media coverage, reviews, trends and public sentiment.
- Coordinate with digital marketing and creative teams on campaigns, content calendars, social media initiatives and promotional materials.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly PR and media coverage reports, tracking mileage, reach, engagement and campaign results.
- Track PR and communications KPIs and recommend initiatives to increase brand awareness, engagement and revenue contribution.
- Support crisis communications and reputation management when required.
- Establish strong relationships with tourism organisations and lifestyle publications.
Required profile
- Proven experience in communications, public relations or brand management, preferably within hospitality.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain media, influencer and KOL relationships.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, working with senior leadership and multiple hotel departments.
- Excellent storytelling, writing and content creation abilities.
- Ability to monitor media trends and respond quickly to reputation issues.
