CloudOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a CloudOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly available cloud environments across AWS and Azure. The role focuses on automation, cost optimisation, and ensuring the reliability of Windows‑based workloads in the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and automate Windows Server environments, including patching and troubleshooting.
• Plan capacity, design scaling strategies, and oversee availability for distributed cloud systems.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK (TypeScript), Terraform, Python, or PowerShell.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Octopus Deploy or Azure DevOps.
• Architect secure, resilient cloud infrastructures and enforce compliance frameworks.
• Monitor cloud spend and apply FinOps practices to optimise costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or SRE.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• AWS (preferred) and Azure cloud platforms.
• Windows Server administration.
• Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK (TypeScript), Terraform.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
• CI/CD tools: Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps.
• Capacity planning, scaling, and availability management.
• FinOps and cloud cost optimisation.
