Cloud Architect

About the role

MediCard is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high‑performance cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring cloud environments are cost‑effective, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Azure‑based cloud architectures, including Landing Zones.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into applications.
• Create and update architecture documentation, standards, and best‑practice guides.
• Monitor, optimize, and secure cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of cloud environments.
• Stay current with Azure features and continuously improve solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Azure.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure services (Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Active Directory).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: ARM templates, Terraform, Bicep.
• Scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• CI/CD pipelines and tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Database services: Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB.
• Monitoring and logging: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
• Networking concepts: VPN, VNet, Load Balancers, hybrid cloud.
