Catering Assistant

About the role

Join OCS UK & Ireland as a Catering Assistant and support the delivery of high‑quality food services across our facilities. You will work alongside chefs and service teams to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and assembling sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, tableware, and catering stations.
• Receive, unpack, and organise deliveries, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies.
• Serve food items to customers according to the menu prepared by chefs.
• Provide host or waiter support during events when required.
• Re‑stock and top‑up vending services.

Required profile

• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Commercial kitchen experience is valued but not mandatory.
• Basic catering or hospitality certification (e.g., Food Handling) is desirable; training can be provided.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods due to the physical nature of the role.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
