Cardiopulmonary Clinic Nurse

About the role

The Medical City Iloilo is looking for a qualified Cardiopulmonary Clinic Nurse to join its Festive Walk Iloilo outpatient unit. The nurse will provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, supporting physicians in delivering high‑quality clinic services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Prepare patients for consultations, diagnostic procedures, and physician examinations.
• Assist cardiologists and pulmonologists during clinic visits and minor procedures.
• Conduct and assist with ECG, pulmonary function tests, pulse oximetry, and other cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer prescribed medications and nursing interventions per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and smoking cessation.
• Document patient records, nursing interventions, and diagnostic results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain and calibrate cardiopulmonary equipment and ensure infection‑prevention compliance.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow‑up care with the healthcare team.

Required profile

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a valid RN license (PRC).
• 1–2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience, preferably in cardiology or pulmonology outpatient settings.
• Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
• Strong critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities to respond to changes in patient condition.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Electrocardiogram (ECG) operation and interpretation.
• Pulmonary function testing (PFT) administration.
• Pulse oximetry monitoring.
