Business Development Officer – Renewable Power

About the role

The Business Development Officer (Renewable Power) will lead Samsung C&T’s expansion in the Philippine energy market. You will identify, evaluate and secure high‑value utility‑scale projects across emerging renewable technologies, working closely with independent power producers and local generation companies.

Key responsibilities

• Source and secure strategic renewable energy assets, including pumped‑storage hydropower, combined‑cycle gas plants, LNG‑to‑power, waste‑to‑energy, wind and other emerging technologies.
• Track Department of Energy competitive bidding processes and monitor private GenCo expansion plans.
• Conduct technical and commercial analysis of tender documents, offtake frameworks and power purchase agreements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with independent power producers, local GenCos and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate competitive bidding for EPC contracts and co‑development partnerships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or project acquisition within the renewable energy or power sector.
• Strong network and relationships with industry players in the Philippines.
• Ability to analyse technical specifications, market trends and commercial terms.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (hydropower, wind, geothermal, gas‑turbine, waste‑to‑energy).
• Understanding of EPC contracting, power purchase agreements and competitive bidding processes.
