Building Engineer – Facilities Management

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure the reliable operation of building systems across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire safety, and more. You will support preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and energy efficiency initiatives for our Manila facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life‑safety, and control systems.
• Maintain building systems to applicable standards and comply with all codes, regulations, and company directives.
• Manage an energy‑management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Assist in implementing a preventive‑maintenance schedule and conduct emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow safe storage, usage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure proper operation.
• Coach team members and share technical knowledge across disciplines.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade‑school diploma with 4‑5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination).
• Universal CFC certification preferred; other certifications/licenses as required locally.
• Prior shift‑management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift 50 lb or more.
• Strong judgment, willingness to explore new solutions, and solid organizational skills.
