Bank Teller – Customer Sales and Service Associate

About the role

The Customer Sales and Service Associate (CSSA) works at BPI branches in Tarlac and surrounding cities, handling both financial and non‑financial transactions while promoting bank products. The role combines cash handling, account services, and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process over‑the‑counter transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check encashments, bill payments and miscellaneous services.
• Handle auxiliary services including foreign exchange, manager’s checks, remittances, debit‑card requests, and account certifications.
• Maintain cash limits, perform end‑of‑day balancing, and safeguard accountable forms.
• Open new accounts, conduct KYC verification, scan and file documentation, and update customer records.
• Execute enhanced due diligence for high‑risk transactions and obtain approvals for out‑of‑limit activities.
• Support branch operations by preparing mail, processing expense payments, and ensuring workstation and premises upkeep.
• Adhere to security, safety and health protocols, including social distancing measures.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
• Ability to follow internal policies, regulatory requirements and risk‑management procedures.
• Good communication skills for explaining terms and conditions to customers.
• Willingness to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of banking products and procedures.
