Backend Engineer – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

Quollio Technologies is looking for a Backend Engineer to join its remote team in the Philippines. You will help develop, improve, and maintain the backend of the Quollio Data Intelligence Cloud, a B2B SaaS platform serving Japanese enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the existing technical stack and implement new features based on product requirements.
• Follow the Tech Lead’s guidance to write clean, high‑quality code.
• Create clear technical documentation for engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate actively in design discussions and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills in English for both conversation and documentation.
• Accountable for delivering assigned tasks on schedule and with high quality.
• Proactive, able to lead initiatives and work well in a startup environment.
• Interest in B2B SaaS, data management, and enterprise data intelligence.

Required skills

• Backend development with at least 3 years of experience (Python required; Golang, Java, C++ or Rust a plus).
• Linux and cloud development experience (2+ years; AWS, Vercel).
• Familiarity with authentication services (Auth0, Amazon Cognito).
• Database knowledge (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch).
• Version control and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Terraform Cloud).
• Collaboration tools (Slack, Linear, Notion).
