Auditor – Internal & SOX Focus

About the role

Chevron Philippines is seeking an Auditor to join its Corporate Audit team in Makati City. The role focuses on planning, executing, and reporting internal, contractor, and external audits with a primary emphasis on SOX testing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and execute internal, contractor, Non‑operated Joint Venture (NOJV) and external audits, focusing on SOX testing.
• Review business operating environment, processes, risks and exposures; develop audit programs.
• Develop audit plans, conduct testing, and report results for each audit.
• Validate that controls are functioning correctly and ensure compliance with laws, policies and contracts.
• Test protection of business information and IT assets.
• Support medium‑sized clients/customers and contribute to complex projects under supervision.
• Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of internal control, risk management and governance across business units.
• Prepare audit reports highlighting observations, risks and recommendations.

Required profile

• General knowledge of Chevron’s work functions and practices.
• Ability to evaluate internal control, risk management and governance processes.
• Experience supporting medium‑sized clients and contributing to complex audit projects.
• Strong analytical mindset to synthesize large data sets and quantify impact of findings.
