AU Tax Accountant (Remote – WFH)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Australian Tax Accountant to join our remote team. You will support a Queensland‑based accounting firm by preparing tax returns, BAS statements, and financial statements for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business income tax returns for various client types.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and GST returns.
• Draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, companies, and trusts.
• Perform routine bookkeeping tasks such as bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist audit teams by reviewing client work and providing necessary documentation.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, answer queries, and ensure compliance deadlines are met.

Required profile

• 2 to 4 years of practical Australian tax experience.
• Familiarity with preparing income tax returns and audit support.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 06:00 AM – 03:00 PM PHT.
