Associate General Counsel – Special Projects, Contracts & Data Privacy

About the role

The Associate General Counsel – Special Projects, Contracts, and Data Privacy provides comprehensive legal support to AEV and its business units. You will manage contract lifecycles, guide strategic projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee dispute matters while safeguarding the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage contracts to meet legal standards and risk parameters.
• Act as the legal point of contact for strategic transactions and special projects, leading document review and negotiation.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, monitor legal developments, and ensure timely compliance.
• Develop and maintain legal knowledge resources and support organization‑wide training initiatives.
• Manage external counsel relationships to deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality legal services.
• Assist in litigation and dispute management, preparing correspondence and tracking case deadlines.
• Foster a collaborative team environment through coaching, development, and performance management.

Required profile

• LL.B. or J.D. degree and active membership in the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts, commercial transactions, dispute resolution, or corporate legal practice.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, including relevant regulatory requirements.
• Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
