Associate Director – Institutional Non-Financial Risk (Philippines)

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Associate Director to lead Institutional Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) activities in the Philippines. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, ensuring that risk considerations are embedded in strategic decisions and day‑to‑day operations. The role supports sustainable growth while maintaining compliance with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent advice to Philippines business leaders on non‑financial risk matters across Markets, Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance and Coverage.
• Identify, assess, monitor and report material non‑financial risks, ensuring they remain within the approved risk appetite.
• Drive strong risk governance, including participation in governance forums, escalation processes and decision‑making pathways.
• Translate local and emerging regulatory requirements into practical business processes and control frameworks.
• Lead the implementation of the PACT program to strengthen group‑wide non‑financial risk capabilities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with senior business partners, the second line of defence and other control functions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience advising senior business leaders on risk within a banking environment.
• Deep understanding of non‑financial risk frameworks, governance and regulatory expectations.
• Proven ability to influence and challenge risk‑related decisions while fostering a proactive risk culture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across multiple business lines.
