Associate Communications Officer

About the role

The Associate Communications Officer will support the Department of Communications and Knowledge Management (DOCK) in delivering high‑quality digital content for the Asian Development Bank. Based at the Manila headquarters, the role focuses on visual storytelling, multimedia production, and editorial curation across ADB’s web platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce graphics, illustrations, and layout elements for web landing pages, features and digital campaigns.
• Maintain brand consistency by applying ADB visual guidelines to all DOCK‑led web assets.
• Develop creative concepts that enhance storytelling and user engagement on ADB websites.
• Create and edit animations, short videos and interactive visuals to enrich web content.
• Collaborate with content producers, multimedia specialists and developers to integrate assets into web pages.
• Ensure all media are accessible, responsive and performant across devices.
• Curate and organise web content for campaigns, country pages and topical sections.
• Partner with writers and editors to align visual elements with editorial tone and messaging.
• Support editorial accuracy, update core pages and review design elements for complex web requests.
• Produce homepage updates, including header banners and video assets, as required.

Required profile

• Based at ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
• Reports to the designated International Staff and/or Officer within DOCK.
• Works closely with staff across the Department of Communications and Knowledge Management.
