Assistant Tax Manager

About the role

The Assistant Tax Manager will lead tax compliance activities, ensure accurate and timely reporting to management, and serve as the company's primary liaison with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, local government units and other government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all tax compliance processes and ensure filings are submitted on schedule.
• Represent the company in interactions with the BIR, LGUs and other regulatory bodies.
• Maintain professional relationships with key external stakeholders and internal departments.
• Provide guidance, training and supervision to junior tax staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Support financial objectives by optimizing tax strategies, reducing tax-related costs and enhancing profitability while maintaining full compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience focused on tax compliance and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• In‑depth understanding of Philippine tax legislation, regulations and rulings.
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities with a detail‑oriented approach.
• Proven project management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Libis, Quezon City.
