Assistant Tax Manager

About the role

The Assistant Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, ensure accurate reporting, and act as the primary liaison with tax authorities and government agencies. This role supports the company's financial objectives by optimizing tax strategies while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and timely reporting to management.
• Represent the company before the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), local government units, and other agencies.
• Maintain professional relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Support financial goals by finding opportunities to optimize tax strategies and reduce tax-related costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience focused on tax compliance and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS).
• In‑depth understanding of government tax legislation, regulations, and rulings.
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
• Proven project management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in Libis, Quezon City.
