Assistant Professor – Cell Biology & Immunology

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Professor to join the Faculty of Biology at Université Grenoble Alpes. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and master courses in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Immunology, and lead a translational immunology research programme in close partnership with the Institute of Advanced Biosciences and the French Blood Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Bachelor‑level lectures and practical sessions in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Immunology.
• Teach master‑level courses within the Biology master programme.
• Develop and manage an independent research project on innate immune cells in chronic inflammatory contexts.
• Collaborate with IAB (UGA‑Inserm‑CNRS) and the French Blood Bank (EFS AuRA) on translational studies.
• Supervise graduate students and contribute to departmental committees.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to teaching and a high‑level scientific record aligned with UGA’s standards.
• Identification with UGA values: openness, ethics, scientific integrity, teamwork and community engagement.
• Responsibility towards environmental and social issues.

Required skills

• Expertise in cell biology, molecular biology and immunology.
• Experience in translational research on innate immune responses (dendritic cells, monocytes/macrophages).
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and manage collaborative projects.
