Assistant Manager – Assurance (IT Audit)

About the role

PwC is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Assurance practice, focusing on IT audit. The role involves evaluating the design and effectiveness of clients’ IT systems and controls, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach audit teams, leveraging individual strengths and managing performance to meet client expectations.
• Take ownership of audit projects, overseeing planning, budgeting, execution and timely delivery.
• Assess and analyse the inter‑relationships of complex IT systems to identify control gaps.
• Partner with senior leadership to ensure quality, timelines and deliverables are collectively owned.
• Mentor junior staff and use work reviews to deepen team expertise.
• Address conflicts, conduct difficult conversations with stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary.
• Uphold PwC’s professional standards, code of conduct and independence requirements.
