Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager will support DHL Supply Chain’s finance function by driving cost‑reduction initiatives, ensuring budgetary discipline and maintaining financial integrity across operations. You will work closely with operations managers and commercial teams throughout the contract lifecycle, from new business acquisition to performance monitoring and contract closure.

Key responsibilities

• Support the business in achieving cost‑reduction targets and annual budget goals.
• Challenge and advise operations management while safeguarding financial integrity.
• Manage contract‑related financial activities, including new business, renewals, price reviews, BCA, project start‑up, and performance management.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and contribute to the annual budgeting and mid‑term (IBP) planning processes.
• Participate in project and program management, driving change initiatives and process improvements across regions.
• Influence commercial models and support value‑based pricing strategies.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree and/or professional accounting qualification.
• 3‑5 years of experience in management accounting, financial planning, or statutory reporting.
• Experience in commercial finance and strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Customer‑oriented, results‑driven with strong project‑management and presentation capabilities.
• Willingness to work hands‑on in a dynamic environment.
