Assistant Director, Commercial Architecture

About the role

The Assistant Director in the Strategic Pricing & Insights team will lead financial and commercial leadership for large, complex opportunities, shaping pricing strategies and commercial models to enhance win rates and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead pricing strategies for complex pursuits, collaborating with pursuit teams to design commercial structures and client‑facing proposals.
• Provide actionable insights to EY leadership, enabling pricing decisions that maximize returns and align with client willingness‑to‑pay.
• Design innovative pricing models (outcome‑based, risk‑reward, consumption‑based) that protect EY margins while delivering client value.
• Develop and validate financial models using Microsoft Excel and EY pricing analytics tools, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal profitability frameworks.
• Partner with solution architects to align solution design with expected value, client willingness‑to‑pay, and internal ROI targets.
• Conduct price‑to‑win assessments, leveraging market benchmarks, economic indicators, client pain points, and competitor intelligence.
• Synthesize sales, pricing, and solution insights into actionable intelligence for compelling proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic pricing, commercial structuring, and financial modeling for large‑scale professional services engagements.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear pricing recommendations.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with pursuit teams, solution architects, and senior leadership.
• Understanding of behavioral economics techniques applied to commercial models.
